We are looking to recruit a Governance & Control Lead within our Pricing & Underwriting Chapter. Lead the development and delivery of our Pricing & Underwriting governance & control strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation & regulation, alongside the safe delivery of Pricing & Underwriting Change. You will work with key stakeholders across the Business to balance a strong control environment while ensuring we retain speed and agility. You will also lead a team of people highly experienced in pricing, underwriting and risk management.

What you’ll be doing

The P&U Centre of Expertise within Pricing & Underwriting Chapter has a broad remit alongside Governance & Control and you’ll work alongside a team of strong P&U leaders and as part of the wider COE team to deliver great outcomes for the P&U Chapter.

These are some of the activities you’ll be involved in;

Provide strategic leadership to the wider business on the P&U Control environment both internally and externally to DLG.

Robust oversight of the P&U control environment including robust reporting and review of delegated authorities.

Lead continual development of the P&U control frameworks, driving efficiency and effective control, considering new and ongoing risks to our control environment.

Use your in depth and specialised expertise in Governance & Control to support the business in achieving compliance and effective management of the control environment Developing and empowering your team to deepen their governance & control craft.

What we are looking for

We are keen to meet enthusiastic, passionate and curious individuals with a breadth of experience across pricing. Key is your desire to ‘T’ shape, developing your expertise but also broadening your wider knowledge to enable you to embrace and deliver lots of different scenarios and challenges.

You’ll be a subject matter expert with extensive governance & control experience with the ability to demonstrate great delivery. Specialised depth and breadth expertise in Governance & Control Experience of successfully leading a Pricing/Underwriting or similar function. Ability to inspire and engage colleagues to do their best work every day with a strong external network to bring thought leadership to our function.
