This is for a Designate position and will include the Croydon retail store (Purely Way) as well as stores within an hours drive from here.

Our Designate managers are vital members of our management team. As a Designate Deputy Manager, you will be supporting local stores within the area within a reasonable travel time and leading the instore teams through support, encouragement, and motivation.

You will learn all there is to know about your new role and receive the best training ready for when you take on a permanent store as the Deputy Manager. You will have an amazing support network that you will have built up while training and be ready to deliver the leadership to our instore team and amazing service to our customers.

A keen operator, you’ll also have a strong sense of what our competitors are doing and will have a passion to win through consistent excellence in delivery.

 

To be successful you will be:

  • A year’s managerial experience, ideally in a retail sales environment.
  • Experience of managing colleagues and one to one coaching.
  • Experience of meeting compliance standards across health and safety and retail operational standards.
  • Experience of labour force scheduling, and associated time management skills.
  • Experience of delivering coaching/training in the moment to ensure that customers have a great experience.
  • A track record of success in delivering against sales targets, including attachment sales.
  • Evidence of delivering against customer metrics.
  • Evidence of commercial acumen and an appreciation of current operating environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • IT proficient, with experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the aptitude to learn in-house systems.
