GSL Education are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our welcoming school in Grays. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about sports and physical education to inspire students and promote a healthy, active lifestyle. As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with students across all year groups, helping them develop skills, teamwork, and a love for sport.

Job Summary:

The Sports Coach role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young people and is committed to making physical activity a fun and engaging part of school life. You will have the chance to make a positive impact on students' physical wellbeing and personal development.

Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:

  • Design and implement individualized sports and physical education lessons that cater to the specific needs and goals of each athlete or team.
  • Encourage students to participate in a range of sports and physical activities.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and events.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Promote teamwork, fair play, and positive attitudes towards sport.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during physical activities.

Requirements and Skills of a Sports Coach:

  • A degree in sports science, physical education, sports management or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with young people in a sports or coaching role.
  • Knowledge of effective training methods, sport’s rules and techniques.
  • A passion for sports and physical education.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting student development.
