The School of Law and Criminology is situated in the historic world heritage site of the Old Royal Naval College. The school is home to over 1,700 students, studying on our undergraduate BSc Criminology and Criminal Psychology; BA Criminology and Criminal Justice; MSc Criminology and Criminal Psychology; MSc Criminology, Gender and Sexualities; and MA Applied Criminology, as well as our suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Law. This vacancy offers an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and committed academics to complement our existing team by making an outstanding contribution to the teaching and research at the School of Law and Criminology in the University of Greenwich. 

You will work closely with the dedicated criminology team to help to continue the School of Law and Criminology’s progress as a centre of teaching and research excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver innovative teaching in a range of areas relating to our BSc and MSc Criminology and Criminal Psychology. We are specifically interested in candidates who would be able to lead and teach modules such as Psychology, Development and Crime, Criminal Investigative Psychology and Social Forensic Psychology. In conjunction to teaching on these subjects we are also interested in candidates with a developing or established research profile that complements the school’s research interests.

You must be able to demonstrate a strong teaching profile and a proven commitment to the student experience, including supporting students’ wellbeing. A PhD (or near completion) or an equivalent psychology (e.g., DClinPsy) qualification is highly desirable, as is energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to play a full and active role in the life of the School of Law and Criminology.
