Business Strategy Director – Information Management Suite

About the team

The Information Management Suite is a key member of the Data Services group within the Trading and Asset Services business unit at FIS. This solution collective is formed of the following products:

  • Capital Market and Stock Lending Pricing
  • Security Reference Data

Servicing clients through both SaaS and BPaaS vehicles allow clients to meet their business outcomes relying upon FIS’ platforms and Services.

What you will be doing

Reporting to the head of Data Services, you will lead the strategy for the Information Management Suite and will be relied upon to define the competitive positioning of the solution portfolio within FIS’s chosen markets with the sole aim of retaining and attracting new clients. The successful candidate will direct and assist the solution managers with the execution of the strategy in terms of the solutions features and functions ensuring that that they remain synchronous with the overall vision of information management.

In addition to this primary change agent role, the successful incumbent will also act as advocate within the industry to further identify product enhancement opportunities whilst also representing the view of FIS and it’s clients within the industry.

  • Identify key product deficits of the solution either through client, industry or competitive positioning
  • Engage Capital Market solution owners to identify integration opportunities promoting portfolio as core service provider
  • Advocate FIS’ position in the market by influencing market practice to best service FIS’ and its clients business objectives
  • Collaborate and influence internal partners in the design and development lifecycle of the portfolio

What you bring:

  • Industry practitioner experience in two or more of Information Management domains accrued within Asset Management, corporate or investment banking segments
  • Ability to articulate business strategy through multiple mediums catering for various organisational levels
  • Change management experience within one or all of the information management domains
  • Previous program management or business analysis experience
  • Operational experience in the usage of pricing or security reference data
  • Vendor and partner engagement

Added bonus if you have:

  • Technical experience and understanding of agile methodologies
  • RFP / RFI involvement either as issuer or recipient
  • Accreditation to a Capital Market’s industry body
