We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fabrication Trainer to join our Commercial and Industrial Division, based at our site in Dalton, Thirsk.

The purpose of this role is to support our current, and new intake of Apprentices, who are working towards their Level 3 in Fabrication. You will be responsible for assisting the apprentices with all on the job training associated with the standard, including all fabrication process and techniques, and associated tools and machinery.

You will be required to monitor and assess the progress of each apprentice against the defined criteria, and act as a mentor to help them overcome any challenges and provide supportive feedback on any concerns. You will act as a mentor to them in all aspects of the factory life, including Health and Safety, Quality, and housekeeping.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to lead/ manager and train others to achieve results.

Ideally, you will be apprentice trained with a Level 3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding and be fully conversant in reading Fabrication drawings. It is desirable to have experience working in a structural steel environment.

This is a permanent, full-time vacancy, with an option to negotiate on hours and the possibility of part-time working to be discussed in interview.
