Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Electronics Hardware Engineer with expertise in FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) design and VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) programming to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of electronics hardware for defense products, contributing to the advancement of mission-critical technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and implement FPGA-based solutions for defense applications, adhering to project requirements and performance specifications.
  • Develop and optimize VHDL code for FPGA programming, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and high-performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA-based hardware into larger defense systems, providing technical expertise and support throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of FPGA designs to verify functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in FPGA design and VHDL programming, incorporating new methodologies and best practices into design processes.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in electronics hardware design, with a focus on FPGA development and VHDL programming.
  • Strong proficiency in FPGA design tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus) and simulation software (e.g., ModelSim).
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards and protocols is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
