During the first 12 months, you’ll spend time in each of the areas below, and after that time, you’ll spend longer periods within the team(s) that you are most likely to join at the end of the programme.

Every graduate experience is unique and truly maximises your opportunity to grow your career as a PROACTivist.

Project Management

Any complex IT project carries risk. But the more you complete, the better you get at knowing what can disrupt a project – and how to ensure that it doesn’t. Our technology-focused project managers bring knowledge accumulated from thousands of successfully completed projects, allowing them to deliver cost-efficient customer and internal projects that run smoothly and manage risk effectively.

Your time with the Project Management Office (PMO) will introduce you to our resource coordination and project management functions, and to shadow project managers on real customer engagements throughout the project lifecycle.

You will learn how our Project Managers plan, execute and close projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party suppliers/contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Service Delivery

Service delivery is the function responsible for ensuring that our managed cloud services are effectively provided to customers, meeting quality standards, and fulfilling both client expectations and Service Level Agreements. It involves coordinating resources, managing service performance, and continuously improving processes based on customer feedback.

We have a dedicated team of Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), aligned to multiple customer accounts to ensure we deliver our services effectively and maximise customer satisfaction, retention and contract growth. We also have a Service Delivery Analyst who supports the function to drive service improvement base on data and trend analysis.

You will shadow various members of our Service Delivery team in activities such as customer reporting, trend analysis, service reviews, billing and data management, as well as learning how an SDM manages internal Proact resources to effectively deliver our services to customers.

Service Desk

Whilst planning, implementing and supporting technology infrastructure is vital, the way we react when things go wrong is one of the reasons our customers trust us so much.

Your time with the Service Desk team will build on your troubleshooting skills. Not to mention develop your reaction speed to the problems that can happen - after all, his is technology troubleshooting at lightning speed.

You’ll learn how to operate our monitoring platform and case management system, and you’ll translate customer problems into a set of clear actions. And, working alongside our technical support consultants, you’ll not only help diagnose and fix problems, but you’ll record the lessons we learn so we can continually improve our service.
