Main duties of the job

As part of the customer service team, you'll provide exceptional service to NHS staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring they can access the information they need. You'll assist librarians with a wide range of library duties, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of library operations. You'll play a key role in promoting library services and resources, raising awareness within the NHS Trust and encouraging their use. You'll oversee the health promotion reclassification project, ensuring the library's collection on this topic is organized and up-to-date.

Minimum of three A levels

Good degree in any subject or equivalent

Experience

Experience of delivering customer care. Proven ability to work effectively both alone and as part of a team. Experience of administration work.

Experience of working in a library/information environment. Marketing or communications experience.

Knowledge

Essential

Familiarity with libraries (public, academic or specialised).

Knowledge of information resources for health. Understanding the role of NHS libraries
