The successful candidate will be part of a small, close-knit Data Privacy team which is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining our commitment to Data Privacy laws and Regulations.
As the Data Privacy Business Partner, you main duties will include:
Supervise the Data Privacy team day to day, including reviewing SARs, answering queries, and managing mailboxes and processes. Data breach and incident management. Complex SAR support Litigation and investigation support through our Microsoft tools. Audit compliance and third-party audit support Reviewing Data Privacy clauses along with the Data Privacy Director and Legal teams. Responding to Data Privacy questions in Bids, tenders, and questionnaires. Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support data privacy compliance and best practice. Creating and maintaining DPIA/PIAs, RoPAs, IDTAs, Privacy Notices, Cookie Policies, Retention Schedules, and Data Flow maps. Management information and trends analysis using Microsoft tools, including PowerBI and Vendor due diligenceTo be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential Skills:
A CIPP/E or equivalent recognised certification in Data Protection. At least three years of experience in data privacy and compliance. Excellent knowledge of GDPR, DPA , PECR, and other relevant legislation and guidance. A high degree of experience in handling Subject Access Requests Experienced in dealing with data breach management. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines. Willingness to travel occasionally to other Mitie locations. Strong skills in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Desirable Skills:
