What does the job involve?

Operating Mazak, and Puma (Doosan) CNC machines with ISO programmes to produce aero-engine parts.

What will my responsibilities include?

Loading raw materials (workpieces) onto the lathe and unload finished parts after machining. Proper handling and identification of tooling, collets, and fixtures are essential. Change the tooling of the CNC machine. Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers. Adjust machine control, including part process. As agreed, inspects tools for sharpness and usability, deburr and report concerns to Section Leader. Verify “first piece inspection” using appropriate measuring instruments. Maintain accurate data/records/documentation associated with your work. Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies and procedures, codes, and legislation including health and safety.

What key skills, experience and qualifications should I have?

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Ability to use manual and CNC turning lathes and CNC 3 Axis milling machines. Ability to use measuring equipment for quality control checks. Strong manual skills. Reliability, precision and attention to detail. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow instructions.
