We are currently working with a leading renewable energy contractor with a strong national presence across sectors who are looking for a mechanical site manager to join their business to initially work on a school decarbonisation project in Croydon.
They have secured decarbonisation projects of 11 schools in total across SE and SW London which runs for 16 months in total.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting the Project Manager with the development of the construction program, short term look-ahead planning reports, equipment and materials schedules.
- Visiting the site and setting up a site establishment schedule.
- Assisting in project validation.
- Putting a site safety starter pack in place and participating in SHEQ plan.
- Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments with sub-contractors.
- Reviewing construction drawings and signing off.
- Effectively managing sub-contractor supervision to enable efficient productivity.
- Liaising with our client to coordinate between building and services.
- Integrating with other internal and external supervisors to ensure cross co-ordination of trades and installation processes.
- Taking ownership and responsibility of issues to drive out solutions in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- A recognised pipefitter/plumber apprenticeship or trade cert and a minimum of 5 years' Site Management experience.
- Experience in managing Mechanical design and build projects of at least 1 million within the social housing sector.
- SMSTS/CSCS qualifications.
- Strong computer abilities.
Sign off to pay a good day rate and an opportunity to join a well-respected contractor on a long-term contract basis.
