Develop your veterinary career with us at Rayleigh Vets for Pets
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in your career to become a Head Veterinary Surgeon?
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our super friendly and supportive team of 3 other vets, qualified nurses, patient care assistants and reception team led by our experienced Practice Manager.
Our ideal candidate will lead our clinical team, develop new graduates and deliver exceptional standards to pets and their humans. We are looking for an all round general practitioner that gets stuck into most things, but if you have a passion for surgery then that would be great
We have a purpose-built practice with state-of-the-art equipment and through our loyal and expanding client base and varied caseload, we aim to deliver top class clinical standards and client care. You’ll be joining an inclusive, caring team who are looking forward to welcoming a new member into our family-feel practice on either a full or part time basis, with no OOH or bank holidays and working 1:4 weekends.
Rayleigh is a historic market town located between Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea only 32 miles east of central London. The practice is a very short walk to the high street and Rayleigh train station which will take you straight into London Liverpool street in 40minutes. There is plenty of free parking near to the practice and it is on a main bus route for commuting purposes. We are close to London’s international airports, have great transport links and the shopping at Bluewater and Lakeside is brilliant
We have the bright lights of the city on our doorstep, great local amenities and have easy access to the open spaces and beaches of the Essex coastline – one of the longest shorelines of any county in England – so there’s plenty to discover and we make sure you have the work/life balance to enjoy it.
As standard, along with a competitive salary of up to £85,000 FTE + £5,000 welcome bonus we offer all the benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if wanted (we’re an A+ rated sponsor).
Building your skills and furthering your interests is as important to us as it is to you, by joining us as a Clinical Lead we’ll support you whatever your career goals.
So, if you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.
Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone’s differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.
Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our business. If you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’re waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
Location: SS6 7JN
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you
