About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Liaison and Diversion Team as a support worker, based at our Durham Service. Our aim is to improve the lives of people who come into contact with the criminal justice system and have learning or mental health needs, or who are experiencing other vulnerabilities.

The role includes sign posting and identifying ways you can support the people you work with to help them to make a difference. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team so you will be able to give the very best support whilst enhancing your own practice.

Recovery Co-ordination is a diverse and rewarding role, key duties you will undertake are:
  • Manage a caseload, devising, implementing, and reviewing on-going recovery and treatment plans
  • Facilitate and promote individuals progression from engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery
  • Reduce substance related harm to individuals and the wider community
  • Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals


The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band

Who will you be working with.

You will be working as part of our North Cumbria RSC Team. The team is a multi-disciplinary recovery team comprising of colleagues from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. The team includes Recovery Coordinators, HOPE Workers, Medics, Housing and Criminal Justice workers , Individual Placement Specialists and Volunteers. We are a supportive and welcoming team, who are passionate about supporting and promoting recovery for those we care for and within our local community.
