Civils Operative

Comex2000 is currently seeking a Civils Operative to join ourPreenablement team covering the east of Scotland. If you are acommitted hardworking individual who is eager to learn come andjoin the Comex2000family

Whatare we lookingfor

Weare looking for a skilled Operative to perform excavations; repairsand rereinstatements; the installation of ducting chambers andstreet cabinets; and the installation of draw rope on telecomsinfrastructure located within the public highway and customerpremises. This will be done using uptodate standard operatingprocedures and in full compliance to current legislation health andsafety requirements and companypolicies.

Whatwill you bedoing

Asa Civils Operative your core responsibilities willbe:

• Providingnew installation and repair of network duct for associated customerconnections.
  
• Clearingblockages and restoring the highway to industry standard ensuringall evidence (data or photos) is captured on company suppliedassets i.e. phone ortablet.
  
• Becompetent in the use of Stihl Saws / Wacker plates / trenchcompactor and hold the correct certification to complete theworks.
  
• Installingdraw rope and drop cable to relevant connection points followinginstallation/repair of ductworks.
  
• Completeappropriate paperwork for your daily works on job sheets riskassessments plant sheets and/or vansheets.
  
• Experienceof risk assessment and hazard identification with a keen focus onhealth and safety requirements andresponsibilities.
