High Voltage Repairs Technician

We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we’re seeking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated High Voltage Repairs Technician to join our team.
In this critical role, you will ensure the reliability and safety of high voltage electrical systems. Your responsibilities will include both pre-planned and reactive servicing and maintenance of Megger’s cable test vans and high voltage instruments. This involves performing scheduled maintenance and addressing unforeseen breakdowns.
As part of our succession planning, this position has the potential to evolve into a more senior role within the Service, Calibration, and Repairs department. Additionally, a 20% premium is available for attendance on SEBA tours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on high voltage equipment.
- Travel to customer sites and carry out high voltage and low voltage service repairs/inspections.
- Conducting tests and measurements to ensure equipment performance.
- Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components.
- Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new high voltage systems.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- BTEC qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with the repair and servicing of high voltage products.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to high voltage work.
- Methodical approach with strong diagnostic skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence, with the flexibility to travel to various job sites as needed.
