About the job ?

The role is responsible for providing the highest standards of delay attribution for the purpose of performance improvement. Investigation of delay causes with GWR functions including engineering, stations, operations etc. The role is also responsible for resolution of disputes with Network Rail colleagues in line with contractual requirements.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Investigating causes of delay to GWR train services Allocating responsibility for incidents in accordance with industry rules Negotiating the resolution of disputed incidents Maintaining accurate records of delays for analysis and improvement

You'll need to be:

A self-motivated problem solver with an eye for detail Computer literate A team player Tactful and diplomatic

You'll need to have:

The ability to communicate effectively at all levels Ability to manage conflict and resolve disputes Knowledge of Word and Excel. Training in GWR systems will be provided

About the location?

The team is based in Swindon in the Network Rail Integrated Control Centre. There are excellent public transport links. There will be opportunities to travel and work around the GWR network

Working Pattern?

The role involves working early and late shifts including weekends
