An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave.
As part of our busy and friendly HR team you will play a key role in providing employee relations support to managers across our business; providing consistent advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures. Working within our supportive team, you will plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload. This is a fast-paced working environment, so you must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Main duties to include (but are not limited to):
Provide first line support and guidance on HR related questions and queries. Involvement in employee relations processes including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance. To ensure all HR records are fully maintained and held in strict compliance with GDPR and Ethical Trading Requirements. Support the recruitment process from advert to appointment and on-boarding process - issuing offer letters and contracts and ensuring that personnel files contain the appropriate signed documentation. Collate weekly working hours, holiday and absence information and compile timesheet reports for Payroll to support the end to end payroll process. Be involved with employee engagement activities, including mental health and wellbeing initiatives.Requirements, experience and person specification:
A background in a HR function is essential for this role. CIPD3 would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office . Be able to deliver quality and accuracy with great attention to detail. Be a pro-active, self-starter who needs minimal supervision. Great communication skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly. UK driving licence.Pay and benefits
