An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a Corporate performance manager to support the implementation of a clinically led Health and Care Services Strategy for Whipps Cross Hospital as part of a wider integrated care offer for the local population. The role will be based within the Whipps Cross Redevelopment Programme team and will involve working closely with the Health and Care Services Strategy Delivery Director and delivery team, senior clinical and operational colleagues and partners in the local health and care economy as well as the Corporate Business Intelligence team.

The proposed redevelopment of Whipps Cross Hospital offers an unprecedented opportunity to regenerate a unique site and create an integrated health, care and wellbeing campus connecting community, primary and social care services. This role will support the Trust to develop and implement new clinical pathways and innovative ways of working through an integrated care offer, while engaging with local authorities, clinical commissioners, healthcare providers and others in the wider healthcare system to ensure a joined-up approach.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to have experience of working within a corporate business intelligence environment as well a history of building positive working relationships with staff at all levels and across all professional groups. This role requires an individual with the ability to support integrated programmes of work in a highly complex environment, the ability to work to tight timescales and to work flexibly across multiple teams and projects.

The role will also involve working closely with intelligence & insight and planning & outcomes teams from within NEL ICB and similar teams within West Essex and Hertfordshire ICB to analyse and develop an understanding of system-wide activity across the Whipps Cross catchment area and to help measure the impact of local transformation programmes.

Working for our organisation

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.

The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.

Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.

We strive to live by our WeCare values and are committed to promoting inclusion, where every staff member has a sense of belonging. We value our differences and fully advocate, cultivate and support an inclusive working environment.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates as they are underrepresented within Barts Health at this band.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

They will also be expected to collect data to compile a bi-monthly IDF dashboard as well as support the IDF annual report.

The role will also work closely with National Hospital Programme (NHP) colleagues, support information and data requests and collaborating on demand and capacity modelling.

We would encourage applicants to contact Rob Selley, Strategy Delivery Director .

We are dedicated to being an outstanding place to work and will work with you to get the best experience. We know flexible working is not a one size fits all and will mean something different to everyone. We are inclusive, so if you are interested in flexible working, please speak to the recruiting manager.
