Trainee Teacher Position : Modern Foreign Languages (French & Spanish)

Salary: Bursary of £25,000 subject to eligibility. Possibly leading to enhanced United Learning Salary Scale in ECT Year 1 onwards.

Contract: Full Time, one year in the first instance. (Opportunity for successful candidates to continue their teaching career at The Regis).

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to train to teach Modern Foreign Languages with us at The Regis School, in partnership with United Teaching. Our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department is a highly ambitious and well-established team comprising of teachers that are passionate about their subject and driven to support every student achieve their very best. The department is well led and there are several experienced mentors who have a proven track record of offering excellent developmental support to trainees, helping to facilitate the best start to their teaching career.

Support and training that will lead to qualified teacher status (QTS). Train to teach in disruption free classrooms, allowing you to focus on mastering the art of teaching. Access to a well-resourced MFL curriculum that includes detailed resources that will heavily structure/scaffold your lesson planning. Access to a dedicated mentor, with protected time each week, working closely with you as you develop as an effective classroom practitioner. Training both online and face-to-face with United Teaching, with protected time one day a week to support you with this training (travel expenses included as part of your training). Bespoke support from in-school subject specialists. Access to regular, research based CPD opportunities that will allow you to build your knowledge of effective teaching & learning, including weekly MFL department CPD. Bespoke learning walks, with incremental and specific feedback to support your continued improvement. Opportunities to collaborate with other trainees and colleagues from over 60 other schools within the United Learning group, who are all part of United Teaching. Support from our excellent behaviour and inclusion teams so you are equipped to support the individual needs of each student.

Eligibility:

To access this training opportunity, you need to have at least at 2:2 degree. This opportunity is a non-salaried training opportunity with a bursary of £25,000, paid in equal payments over the year. In addition to the bursary, you may be eligible for tuition fee and maintenance loans. Full conditions will be discussed as part of the interview processes.
