Greenkeeping

 

The Greenkeeping team look after all the 3 Golf Courses and living landscape at the Belfry hotel and Resort.  Due to the world-class nature of our courses, our golfers have high expectations, and we have similarly high expectations of ourselves and what we deliver. We are uncompromising on our standards – ensuring our courses and our teams look fantastic.

 

About the role

 

In this role, you would be responsible for servicing the resort fleet of utilities and Golf Buggies, via a preventative maintenance programme, maintaining a clean service area, and record keeping. Specific duties include:

  • Being responsible for purchasing needs relating to stock and supplies.
  • Completing regular servicing along with preventative maintenance such as top ups, oil changes, tire rotation and replacement filters.
  • Assisting in the diagnostics and subsequent repairs relating to failing equipment
  • Undertaking repairs of failing machinery and oversee the service area of the maintenance building.
  • Maintaining all electrical units.
  • Undertaking welding and fabrication as and when required.
  • Undertaking the repair of two stroke and four stroke engines as and when required.
  • Undertaking the general service and repairs of all Greenkeeping equipment.
  • Identifying part numbers for required parts and order as and when necessary.
  • Replacing and repairing tyres to a safe standard as and when required.
  • Assisting and advising all Greenkeeping staff with the use and maintenance of equipment.

 About You

Our Greenkeeping team is a group of friendly and hardworking individuals with a passion for what they do and an ability to work individually and as a team. We are looking for someone who will fit in with the culture.

Ideally the candidate will have experience as a Head Mechanic within a golf course setting and have experience working  on either John Deere, or Toro Fleet, Club Car Golf carts, electric Diagnostics and Hydraulics with added benefit of Bernhard’s relief and spin grinding. Minimum engineering qualifications required.
