The West Yorkshire Adversity trauma and resilience programme supports people to manage or overcome the effects of negative life experiences (including trauma, mental health challenges, poverty, and inequality) so that they can build on their strengths and aspirations in order to live their best possible lives.

The purpose of the job is to Develop, co-ordinate and implement trauma-informed training, resources, packages, and personal development opportunities to colleagues across West Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

A dynamic and motivated leader, you will work across multiple partners and sectors to strategically a lead the health and care staff and volunteers strand of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Adversity Trauma and Resilience Programme

As ATR Workforce Development Facilitator, you will contribute to the delivery of the other strands of the adversity, trauma, and resilience programme, helping us achieve our ambition for West Yorkshire to be trauma informed and responsive by 2030.

You will bring an understanding of health inequalities and the impact of the wider determinants of health, and the life course approach to this work.

You will work in a complex and changing system-wide including health and care organisations, violence reduction partnership, local authorities, voluntary sector organisations, including people with lived experience.

You will be an integral part of the Improving Population Health Programme Team, reporting to the Head of Improving Population Health and working alongside the Adversity Trauma and Resilience Project Officer. You will develop strong working relationship with System and Leadership Team in the WY Health and Care Partnership and the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership.

Job responsibilities

As ATR Workforce Development Facilitator, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and delivering multiple projects to time, cost and quality criteria and meeting a range of stakeholder requirements.

- Developing, coordinating, and delivering ATR training in a clear, engaging, and high-quality manner, gaining feedback from attendees and using it to continuously improve.

- Establishing and proactively maintaining constructive relationships and two-way communication with key internal and external stakeholders.

- Supporting organisations across the partnership and beyond to develop and implement their own bespoke ATR prevention plans and strategies and become trauma informed organisations.

- Working with people with lived experience of trauma and adversity.

- Fostering the development of trauma informed and compassionate workplace cultures.

- Ensuring that learning and feedback from the network feeds into the ATR Strategy Board, Improving Population Health Programme and WY Violence Reduction Partnership

- Leading and supporting evaluation plans for the programme and feedback from a broad range of stakeholders

- Planning the programme of work across the fixed term period for this post and working with colleagues to organise and deliver outcomes within the time frame.

- Planning and organising a broad range of complex activities including meetings, workshops, training sessions, presentations, and demonstrations to support the delivery of specific events such as campaigns, staff events or partners work.

- Developing staff and volunteer ATR Training and Development policy that can be shared, adapted, and adopted across a broad range of organisations and support others, often in more senior roles, to implement organisational change.

- Collaborating with partners across WY to develop an ATR training the trainer Model for West Yorkshire

- the development of the WY ATR Suite of training, bespoke training, and resources.

In addition, this post will be responsible for establishing excellent project management processes and will contribute to and where necessary provide the overall monitoring and co-ordination of projects.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be working in a fast-paced environment handling sensitive information and will work with the Improving population Health teams to support vicarious trauma and good health and wellbeing.

Experience of developing positive relationships new partners Experience of using Microsoft Office IT packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experienced facilitator and/or trainer, with the ability to enthuse others and excellent interpersonal skills Experience of conveying complex and highly sensitive information including analysis of data and statistics in a concise, accurate and understandable way to a range of audiences. Detailed knowledge and experience of project management tools, techniques, and methodology Practical experience of managing multiple successful projects, including the development of complex project management frameworks, monitoring and review processes and delivering to timescales Ability to efficiently prioritise own workload and the workload of others whilst working within very tight deadlines and with differing priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of collaborative working essential, with proven ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels across a wide range of organisations. Experience of conveying complex and highly sensitive information including analysis of data and statistics in a concise, accurate and understandable way to a range of audiences.
