Purpose oftheJob

TheGroup Reporting Team is committed to providing robust financialinformation with meaningful insight and driving ongoingenhancements to financial reporting processes. As part of the GroupReporting Team you will be responsible for providing accurate andinsightful consolidated reporting to internal and externalstakeholders.

Your role will involvecollaboration with global finance teams preparation of themulticurrency consolidation at monthend and yearend and supportingin the completion of the Group Annual Report. As a technicalaccounting specialist you will also produce technical accountingpapers and support global finance teams in the application ofFRS102 and Group accounting policies to complex accounting areas.

The role combines a requirement for strongtechnical accounting knowledge with good communication skills andan aptitude for complex computations. The ability to demonstrateinitiative strong analytical skills attention to detail and toprioritise effectively are also key to the role.

Collinson is a dynamic business undergoing aperiod of significant transformation and the role will support onrelated projects. In particular you will contribute towards thesuccessful implementation of the Groups new consolidation softwareinvolving contributing to the design and global rollout.

KeyResponsibilities

Monthendreporting processes including:

  • Assisting in managingthe timely submission of subsidiaries globally and performinghighlevel validation checks on submissions;
  • Completing the Group multicurrencyconsolidation at monthend; and
  • Involvement inpreparation of monthly Board Pack slides relating to consolidatedprimary statements for theGroup.

Yearendreporting processes including:

  • Review and challenge of globalsubsidiary submissions to ensure compliance with FRS102 and Groupaccounting policies;
  • Completion of the Groupmulticurrency consolidation; and
  • Preparationof specific consolidated disclosures and supporting analysis forinclusion in the FRS102 consolidated financialstatements.

Technicalaccounting application and policies including:

  • Preparation oftechnical accounting papers on complex contracts and transactions;
  • Assisting in updating the Group accountingpolicies to ensure alignment with FRS102;
  • Providing application guidance to globalfinance teams for complex accounting areas andtransactions.

FinanceTransformation/Finance Projectsincluding:

  • Support ondesign of new Group consolidation processes in Tagetik associatedmonthend and yearend reporting processes and reporting outputs;
  • Support on rollout of Tagetik to globalfinance teams for revised monthly and yearend reporting processes;and
  • As Collinson is a dynamic business andcurrently undergoing a period of significant transformation therole will be involved in other adhoc finance projects as thesearise.

Keyskills and experience to be evidenced within your applicationincluded;

Thesuccessful applicant will ideally have a recognised accountancyqualification (ACCA/ACA or overseas equivalent) and demonstrableexperience in yearend group consolidation processes and preparationof statutory accounts under FRS102.

  • Knowledge/experience of complexmulticurrency consolidations
  • Technicallystrong with working knowledge of FRS 102
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability tomaintain good working relationships with global subsidiary financeteams
  • Able to prioritise effectively andability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability towork as part of a team and be collaborative
  • Experience on financial consolidation systempreferred but not essential
  • Proficient inExcel PowerPoint andWord
