Salary: Circa £58K

Reporting to: DevOps Lead

Office: London Docklands.

Our DevOps team provides technical expertise to support the running and development of our business applications, across the entire timeline of our software development lifecycle.

As an applications support (DevOps) engineer, you’ll be working closely with development, quality, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to facilitate our software development and release processes, enable build and deployment pipelines. And you’ll manage development, test and production environments - some independently and others in collaboration with third party suppliers.

You’ll be working across a range of applications and cloud-based technologies, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Dynamics 365, our case handling system, the Power platform as well as handling our data.

You’ll also be responsible for engaging directly with our suppliers on a technical level and provide our service with assurance that the approach to support and on-going development is in line with our strategy - identifying and recommending changes where needed to ensure our applications are robust and remain available for our users.

 Key responsibilities

Deploying a variety of IT solutions to a range of environments – including Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

Conducting technical troubleshooting activities in a range of systems and technologies.

Scripting, testing and deploying new versions of environments and target infrastructure.

Developing tools and services useful in DevOps environments such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers and cloud resource creation scripts.

Planning for the future from capacity to stability to continuously improving methods to automate, ensure consistency and improve the up-time of our systems.

Minimum Criteria

Having worked in teams supporting systems in Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform

Having solid technical experience in a development or operational environment using Microsoft tooling

Working within Agile teams with Scrum and Kanban methodologies

Having good communication skills – you’ll be explaining technical concepts and issues to a variety of colleagues

Being a fast learner who’s able to quickly grasp new IT concepts and be accountable for them
