Main duties of the job
The post will include the management of general/core Urology but there is scope to accommodate a subspecialist interest.
Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR or European Community Rights. Proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview. The post holder should also hold FRCS (Urol) or equivalent

Job description
Job responsibilities
There will be a requirement to work between hospital sites and appropriate travel time where appropriate will be accounted for in the job plan.
There is no requirement to operate on paediatric patients in this is an on call commitment, currently 1:15 (Category A).
The on-call Consultant is expected to be on call from Thursday until Thursday. On-call duties will include providing inpatient on-call care, advice provided remotely ( by telephone), predictable and unpredictable on-call, post-take ward rounds, weekend ward rounds and travel to and from the hospital sites. Elective activity is cancelled for the duration of the on call period.
Secretarial support and office space will be provided.
