The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Voice Support Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 13 months + EPA Location: Manchester (Hybrid Role)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: £14,000

Job Summary
As an Apprentice Voice Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our voice infrastructure. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in voice engineering, working alongside seasoned professionals while you learn you will assist in maintaining and optimising our voice systems, providing technical support, and ensuring seamless communication services for our clients.

Role and Responsibilities
• Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support for voice-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to services.
• System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of voice infrastructure, including PBX systems, VoIP networks, and related hardware and software.
• Configuration and Setup: Support the configuration and setup of voice systems for new clients, ensuring smooth implementation and integration with existing systems.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of voice network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior voice engineers and other technical teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

RequirementsDesired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
• Education: English and Maths GCSE Grade C or Equivalent and Above
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of voice technologies such as VoIP, SIP, PBX systems, and related protocols.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues and clients.
• Willingness to Learn: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and continuously improving technical skills.
