About the Role


 The Senior Editor contributes to the production of a high-quality, monthly , open access journal.

Responsibilities

Coordinating peer review of Research papers, negotiating revisions

Reviewing Comments, Correspondence, and commission content to meet annual targets.

Writing editorials

Cultivating public health connections, surveying literature for journal content, and identifying suitable authors

Representing the journal at events, identifying topics and authors, and staying current in public health through conferences and gatherings.

Sub-editing material from all sections of the journal to improve clarity of expression, and to conform to journal style

Suggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for the further development of the journal


Requirements

A PhD (in a relevant subject) is desirable

Have good knowledge of public health and medical sciences

Be fluent in English (oral and written) and excellent all-round communication skills

Be able to travel
