Job Purpose

The purpose of the Lead Installation Engineer is to be the focal point for a team of engineers to ensure proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. The lead installation engineer will also utilize their technical cross-functional knowledge and expertise to provide solutions to complex onshore and offshore technical issues.

The successful candidate will join a fast pace, technically capable organization that will further refine their technical and leadership skills.

Job Description

Assesses engineering personnel capabilities to recommend proper resource for execution of scope of work. Act as subject matter expert to provide planned and unplanned technical support, troubleshooting and leadership for onshore/offshore operations. Performs as a process owner and leads continuous improvement initiatives that impact the overall department. Provide interface resolution between TFMC and non-TFMC equipment. Provide technical input to RCAs and resolution of field non-conformances. Assist in development of specialty equipment needed to support customer operations related to Services engineering. Hold/Attend Technical Readiness Reviews (TRR) prior to on-site or off-site execution of work. Hold/Attend After Action Reviews (AAR) following on-site or off-site execution of work. Approves technical documentation related to engineering changes: ECN (Engineering Change Notices), Part Reports, engineering specifications/requirements and ensure conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering deliverables.

Requirements

BS degree in Engineering; BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred. 8+ years of experience in the O&G industry, field experience is preferred. Flexibility to travel offsite/offshore, when needed. Possess expert knowledge of shop/lab assembly, field installation and testing.  Experience in the field supporting topsides and controls equipment installation and troubleshooting. This equipment includes but is not limited to: Subsea Communication Modules (SCMs), Subsea Power and Communication Units (SPCUs and SPCTUs), Electrical Power Unit (EPUs), Master Control Station (MCS), Electronic Test Unit (ETU), SmartTool 150 and 200e, and Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs). Experience with TFMC proprietary software programs such as User Configurable Open system (UCOS), SmartTool 200e/150, and ETU. Subsea Production System Knowledge (vertical tree systems, horizontal tree systems, intervention systems, manifolds and jumpers, controls): Operational knowledge of at least 3 subsea systems, Expert knowledge of 1 subsea system, Cross-functional knowledge between subsea systems. Must be able to obtain all the credentials and requirements to work in an offshore environment
