Mach Recruitment is recruiting for several Food Production Operatives to work in a large food production and distribution site in Nottingham.

The role:

As a Food Production Operative, you will be working within a food production environment and your duties will be as followed:

·       Checking production programs – what products are running? What times are change overs happening?  Once, start of shift·       Carry out Pre start checks, guards & E-stops, and sign the pre start check sheet, Once within 30 min of start of shift·       Check magnets and rejection systems are working, and biscuit weight is as it should be, complete and sign appropriate paperwork      Hourly·       Check area for health & safety hazards,         Continually.·       Changing reels of wrapping film of up to approximately 9.5kgs in weight (lifting above shoulder height), Every 2 hours (approximately)·       Communicating with the rest of the team, Continually·       Monitor machine operation, check packets for quality, biscuit position, packet seals and codes, Continually

About you:

As a Food Production Operative, you will have the following skills and experience:

·       Numeracy     Working out hourly percentages (with calculator)·       Literacy          Completing paper work, training courses·       Physically fit  To move around, lift reels & boxes, move product with hand-driven pump truck

 

·       Anything else specific to the role which a candidate needs to be aware of?·       Apart from on rest breaks you will be on your feet for the whole shift, you will also be trained to perform other tasks in the factory.  ·        ·       Due to this being a bakery, the ambient temperature can be extreme – both hot or cold – depending on location.·        ·       Locker rooms and the canteen are located up 3 sets of stairs so physical mobility is a must
