Roles and responsibilities:
- Teaching Humanities subject of your choosing to groups of students from all abilities across the school (KS3 and KS4)
- Ensuring all lessons are delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies.
- Dealing with inappropriate behaviour quickly and effectively according to the school behaviour policy.
- Setting appropriate tasks and challenges for homework according to the previous teacher.
- Keep careful records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy.
- That there is a high standard of display work in the classroom, which is changed frequently.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience teaching History or Geography within a Primary, Secondary or Further Education
- Ability and willingness to teach a second Humanities subject to KS3
- Hold or be willing to apply for a DBS on the Update Service
