Notcutts is a family owned National Garden Centre Group. We're extremely passionate about our people and with ambitious future plans, it's a great time to be joining us.

We are looking for an energetic and conscientious Goods In/Warehouse Operative to work within our Notcutts Cranleigh Garden Centre. Please note that this role does require a large amount of heavy lifting, both manual and using a forklift, along with computer skills. Additionally, some stock control duties will be included as part of the role. Ideally you should also hold a forklift licence.

Our ideal Goods In/Warehouse Operative candidate will: 

  • Hold a valid counter balance forklift licence
  • Have previous experience in a similar role, within a retail environment
  • Have previous experience of following procedures for using computerised systems to accurately receive stock items and book stock items in 
  • Be able to unload deliveries in a safe manner, manually and with a forklift, adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Be responsible for signing for stock deliveries against driver notes once checked.
  • Unload plant deliveries and exchange Danish trolleys over 
  • Be able to take all stock into the yard and retail areas 
  • Prepare stock for the retail Garden Centre shop floor
  • Have a positive 'Can do' attitude.
  • Be able to work effectively and in an orderly manner as part of a team and on their own.
