Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer with a strong background in penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, security analysis, identification of unencrypted sensitive data, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience and hold both Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications. This role involves ensuring the security of our systems and data by identifying vulnerabilities, conducting thorough security analyses, and implementing effective resolutions.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Penetration Testing:
  • Conduct regular penetration tests to identify security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Develop and execute test plans to simulate real-world cyber attacks.
  • Document findings and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
Vulnerability Scanning:
  • Perform vulnerability scans to detect security flaws and unpatched software.
  • Analyze scan results and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Security Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough security analyses of systems, applications, and networks.
  • Identify and assess security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to protect against cyber threats and enhance overall security posture.
Identification of Unencrypted Sensitive Data:
  • Identify instances of unencrypted sensitive data across the organization.
  • Develop and enforce data encryption policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
Issue Resolution:
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying security issues.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve security measures.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on security best practices.
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in security engineering, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., Metasploit, Nessus, Burp Suite).
  • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
