Job Title: Robot Welder Operator

Location: Redditch

Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:45/ Fri 08:00-14:00

Hours: £12.50ph (£13.50ph after 12 weeks)

Job Description: We are looking to recruit an Robot Welder Operator to join a busy engineering company based in Redditch. As a Robot Welder Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating robotic welding machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and program robotic welding machines based on job requirements and engineering drawings.
  • Load materials into the welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment for accurate welding.
  • Monitor the robotic welding process to ensure quality and consistency of welds.
  • Perform regular maintenance on robotic welding equipment to keep it in optimal condition.
  • Inspect finished welds for defects and make necessary corrections to meet quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in setting up and programming robotic welding machines.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
