Job summary

To provide a professional and comprehensive Administration Service in the paediatric diabetes team ensuring the effectiveness of all communications and organisational systems at all times. The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites in line with service needs. It is the responsibility of all staff to highlight any health and safety issues.

You must comply with the Trust's and department's policies, guidelines and procedures and be required to attend all mandatory training as required in line with Trust employment and professional need.

Main duties of the job

Provide a high standard of administrative support in own departmental area Provide effective communication across all boundaries to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive Administration service. To ensure all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained. Undertake general administration duties in respect of own department requirements diary management, organising associated activities/paperwork, arrangement of meetings. Prioritise own work schedule, to ensure an efficient and timely output within all areas of responsibility, to assist in achievement of quality and audit standards. Use of IT applications to monitor, prepare and validate databases as appropriate. Assist in the supply of stationery and office items for the department, as required Assist in any additional related project work as directed. To actively participate in regular team and departmental meetings. The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites in line with service needs. It is the responsibility of all staff to highlight any health and safety issues.

English to O Level/GCSE or equivalent. NVQ II in Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and skills. IT literacy and numeracy skills.
