Main duties of the job

The Royal Free Hospital Intensive Care Unit comprises of 34Level 3 beds and 8 level 2 SHDU beds plus the newly opened EPIC unit consisting of 8 PACU beds. The Unit admits in excess of 2,000 patients per year. Specialities include Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant, Vascular Surgery, Complex Colorectal, Renal and Renal Surgery, general Medical and Surgical patients along with acute patients form our PCI service and Accident and Emergency ICU team are passionate about getting it right for patients and their families. We believe that by investing in our staff that they will deliver better care to our patients and help create and contribute to a work environment that makes it fun to come to work. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, highly motivated, and proactive individual who espouses the vision of our Trust to deliver safe care compassionately to become part of the senior ICU team. We are looking for a Senior Sister /Charge Nurse to support our Critical Care, Surgical HDU and EPIC Units. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the day to day running of a complex intensive care unit, SHDU and EPIC unit supporting their teams by utilizing excellent communication and clinical skills.
