The Opportunity

We are seeking a Destination Manager for our East Asia & Australasia Product portfolios to develop and maintain destinations in line with Scott Dunn’s destination development strategy, in doing so identifying new product opportunities and ensuring we remain at the forefront of the luxury travel market.

This is a far-reaching position, with the view of elevating our tailor-made product by creating exciting, innovative destination product strategies that go deep into South-East Asia, North-East Asia & Australasia.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

Creating new and innovative ways to feature and develop countries that speak directly to our different guest and member personas. Support growth by building plans to engage and excite guests in the higher margin and higher growth US business unit. Ensure East Asia & Australasia has an extensive, diverse product range also encourages long-lasting relationships with guests, as they can transition across destinations as they mature, with varying holiday types based on guest life stage and circumstances. Ensuring a balanced range of product (taking account of price points, holiday types, guest segment, seasons and source markets), with a core of high volume/high profit alongside niche and differentiated product. Managing supplier relationships to include contracting, rate negotiation, exclusive special offers, overrides, marketing agreements and health and safety requirements. Working with our partners to ensure service sits at the forefront – technical, aesthetic and emotional execution in destination is paramount. Analysing East Asia & Australasia performance constantly, looking for opportunities to increase productivity, speed to market, profitability and conversion. Offering unique and valuable perspectives on the marketplace. Continually collaborating with the Marketing team to ensure product, countries, themes and holiday types are showcased effectively. Designing itineraries to make the most of our preferred airlines, castle proposition, season bands, offers, special events and enriched with unique experiences. Website content – guide prices, images, maintaining consistency and quality in written copy and providing accurate and balanced information for guests. Market understanding – constantly reviewing and refreshing product and pricing to ensure product is always innovative and well contracted. Support SSMs and sales teams with training, cheat sheets, system loading, fam planning, flight routing and pricing, commission/mark up and providing advice Generating content proactively for marketing for digital, print, PR and social media campaigns, ensuring content is achieving the right mix of aspirational and commercial. Managing and developing product support where relevant.

About You

You will have a deep passion and knowledge of both East Asia and Australasia, and luxury product in general, having evidenced the ability to take ownership for a product proposition and collaborate across a business to drive its marketability and adaptation to the latest industry trends.

Taking ownership for this product portfolio, you will have your finger on the pulse of all things travel, combined with the creative flair, commercial awareness, and relationship management skills, to contribute towards and lead destination development projects in mind of a wider product-strategy. 

Resultingly, the minimum requirements to evidence in your application include:

Significant experience with East Asia & Australasia product Strong Commercial acumen Collaborative approach with strong internal and external relationship management skills Forward-thinking approach with the ability to work autonomously

Location

We aim to find someone who would be office based at our London, Hammersmith office.
