Position: Broadcast EngineerPostProduction Duration: 3 Months Job Type: Contract (20Hours) Location: Stamford CT 06902 Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in thetechnical support of a PostProduction Facility or operation.
  • BS degree inengineering or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledgeand experience with Avid ACSR in Media Composer Interplay and Nexispreferred
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication as well as diplomacy skills
  • Knowledge of 4Kworkflows a plus
  • Experience with Avid PostProduction environmentsessential including Media Composer Interplay PAM/MAM/Media Central& Pro Tools
  • Possess strong handson problemsolving skills withbroadcastrelated equipment and systems with the ability to meetdeadlines and with an understanding of the urgent and dynamic needsof an OnAir broadcast facility.
  • The ability to work both alone and in a team environmentwith fellow Engineers Operations IT Transmission and otherdepartments while maintaining a strong Customer focus.
  • Clear understanding of a varietyof video and audio CODECS wrappers and the formats involved infilebased workflows.
  • Adobe Production Bundle including Adobe After Effectsand Photoshop a plus.
  • Experience and understanding of network production isadvantageous.
  • Strongunderstanding of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server Operating SystemsLinux and Mac OS
  • Working knowledge of data transfer acceleration systemssuch as File Catalyst Aspera Signiant and SFTP.
  • Knowledge or experience withTelestream transcoding
  • Adobe CS Production Bundle & C4D render solutions
  • Evertz routing andcontrol systems.
  • Experience and understanding of antipiracy measures andthe relationship with IT security in
  • a PostProduction environment.
  • Good understanding of modernPostProduction workflows and media management.
  • Knowledge of Visio AutoCad etc.
  • Ability and desireto learn new production technologies.
  • Experience with VM platforms a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of PostProductionfor the facility acting as frontline support trouble shooting andtechnical diagnosis.
  • Responsible for confirming that equipment used in thepost production process works properly.
  • Works with external providers to resolvetechnical and workflow issues with provided equipment and systems.
  • Implementation of aroutine preventative maintenance program including software andhardware updates.
  • Installing Video and Audio equipment
  • Regulates documents andimplements procedures
  • Responsible for the support of both Live andPostProduction operations within the facility. Will be exposed toEdits Graphics EVS Pro Tools and Screening Rooms
  • Passionate about thePostProduction process excited by new technologies andopportunities and ready to help develop and improve the existingprocess and infrastructure.
  • Proficient at communicating both problems and solutionsto technical and nontechnical personnel alike and will help developnew processes technologies and techniques which will help toimprove the running of the facility.
  • Desire to be proactive and enhance thedepartment needs
