M&A Due Diligence Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a personable and ambitious individual to assist in growing our insurance due diligence business. The role will require an entrepreneurial approach, a willingness to use initiative, hunger for knowledge and the ability to work well as part of a team. As part of the role, you will provide insurance advice to investor and lending clients. Our clients include Private Equity, Real Estate and Corporate investors. With support and training from Gallagher M&A, you will provide pre-acquisition and pre divestment insurance due diligence services including report writing. How you'll make an impact Undertake insurance due diligence advising clients on the existing and historical insurance programme to determine if the insurance programme is in line with expectations Identify risk and insurance related issues that may impact the transaction Work with and be able to project manage the technical specialist, providing the diligence support, within Gallagher Determine current costs associated with the insurance programme and estimate what these costs will be post completion and provide budgets for the rectification costs of any identified issues Issue a formal report to the client, followed by a meeting to discuss the findings of the report. About you A determination and ability to learn about deal specific requirements of investor clients and the target company Written and oral business proficiency in English Ability to work well as part of an open and collaborative team Analytical, with an attention to detail Eloquent, personable and willing to, in time, meet clients/ prospective clients and their advisors to explain our offering Be deadline driven and able to prioritise caseload Have a broad understanding of general insurance products, ideally founded in either a new business (including Bid) or account servicing role. Previous work experience within the insurance sector for an insurer or insurance broker is essential Previous experience with insurance due diligence would be ideal but is not essential.
