Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced project manager to join the National 6 Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care Programme.

The Six Goals Programme has been established to support Health Boards and their partners to transform and improve delivery of Urgent and Emergency Care services to the people in Wales.

The Six Goals, co-designed by clinical and professional leads, span the Urgent and Emergency Care pathway and reflect the priorities in the Programme for Government 2021-2026 to provide effective, high quality and sustainable healthcare as close to home as possible, and to improve service access and integration.

Main duties of the job

To support the development, maintenance and monitoring of the delivery plans and project documentation for the national programme including corporate governance, risk and issues as required

Coordinate and support Goal leads in delivery of the workstream objectives, providing project advice and guidance where needed.

To support the National Programme Manager in the timely production and co-ordination of national Board papers and general programme documentation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential

oEducated to Degree level or relevant equivalent practical experience. oHighly developed specialist knowledge across a wide range of disciplines including project management, planning, governance and service design underpinned by equivalent experience. oHighly developed knowledge of risk management and governance. oKnowledge and experience of working across NHS (in urgent primary care or ambulance service settings) and wider organisations ( local government).

Desirable

oPossess an accredited Project Management qualification PRINCE2, APM, MSP. oKnowledge of Agile delivery methodologies including PRINCE2 Agile, Kanban, Scrum

Experience

Essential

oExperience of successful project management including techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects oExperience of delivering projects across complex organisations including health and social care oExperience of working effectively to support a corporate body that has a Board and formal governance structure
