Group Protection Pricing Actuary

This is a great opportunity for someone who has proven technical and commercial ability within a Pricing role.

Aviva Group Protection Pricing have an exciting opportunity for a Group Protection Pricing Actuary. The team have responsibility for managing the financial performance of Group Protection. 

The focus of the team is on profitability, costing, risk pricing, reinsurance strategy, management of expenses and any other aspect of Group Protection’s financial or commercial performance.

A bit about the job:

In this role you will undertake, manage and develop actuarial analysis to advise and support business decisions and ensure these meet all risk and regulatory requirements. You will achieve this by delivering the Group Protection strategy through costing, pricing and underwriting philosophy,

supporting system development and operational teams and supporting development with costing and risks.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Newly qualified or nearly qualified actuary

Proven technical and commercial ability within Group Protection preferably, Pricing experience is essential

Strong problem solving, analytical and modelling skills

Proactive, taking ownership and accountability for work

Strong communication skills both verbally and through report writing and presenting

Starting salary between £45,000 and £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
