Are you an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant with strong behaviour management skills? An excellent full-time opportunity awaits for a skilled individual to work one-to-one with a Year 3 student at a primary school in Ellesmere Port. This is a long-term ongoing supply role offering the chance to make a lasting impact on a young learner's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and assistance to a Year 3 student in their academic and personal development
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support the student's engagement and progress
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback and updates as necessary

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a teaching assistant, particularly in supporting students with behaviour management needs
- Strong understanding of primary education curriculum and strategies to support individual learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and adapt to the changing needs of the student

We specialise in recruiting teaching assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)

We'll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you'll be expected to:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
