£25,438 per annum
Monday to Friday - 40 hours p/w – 3 split shifts.
- Early - 6am – 2.30pm
- Afternoon - 7.30am – 4pm
- Late - 11.30am – 8pm
(Overtime available Saturday's which is paid at time and a half).
A quick look at the role.
- Ensuring relevant allocated tasks from the Biffa Health and Safety and Environmental management systems are completed. eg. safety instructions to drivers, near miss reporting, site violations forms, hourly roll call.
- Operate and maintain two 50,000kg weighbridges.
- Ensure site control is maintained, ensuring that contractors and visitors have appropriate inductions and permits, if required.
- To monitor other personnel working at or customers delivering waste at the site to ensure that they are complying with site rules, and to promptly report breaches via the near miss reporting procedure.
- To promptly report customer query/complaints or unexpected problems such as customers on stop, site damage.
- To understand and implement waste duty of care requirements and to carry out load checking procedures and coordinate with customers and operatives any sampling when required.
- To share responsibility for health and safety of the team.
- To understand relevant items of the site permit via induction and toolbox talks.
- To carry out any other such reasonable job related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to time
Requirements
Here’s what we require:
- Strong PC skills
- Excellent organisational skills and standards
- Good communication skills at all levels, internally and externally
- Managing processes, prioritising and problem solving.
- Ability to work to deadlines paying attention to accuracy at all times
- Full training provided but experience in administration in waste / recycling / health and safety an advantage
