About the role
As Internal Sales Executive you will be reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, where you will maintain existing business opportunities and grow new business opportunities by working with the Sales Manager / Field Sales team to build successful customer relationships. You will be working with the Sales Teams, Purchasing Department, Suppliers and Customers to:

  • Qualify and understand the nature of the request for client quotes
  • Determine resale price and lead time
  • Ensure all quotations and orders entered on the system comply with existing regulations (ITAR, Export Compliance, etc.)
  • Convert quotations to orders and keep relevant teams and systems updated
  • Use and set up Excel spreadsheets to utilise data
  • Ensure both customer and Company have a clear understanding of the terms that are in place  
  • Ensure export licenses are in place
  • Proactively informing customers and Sales teams when delivery dates change, both verbally and electronically
  • Look for ways to improve processes that add value for the customer and company
  • Control and monitor buffer, safety and consignment stock agreements, where these have been agreed with customers and the company management
  • Establish and meet/exceed customers KPI’s

About the rewards
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will receive a salary of £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience plus:

  • Performance related bonus
  • EAP which includes access to a private GP

  • Death in service

About you
This role would suit an individual who has experience within a similar B2B position You must have / be:

  • Able to organise and prioritise whilst juggling multiple tasks
  • Effective in the use of questioning and listening to establish customer needs
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of the wider team
  • Have the ability to make recommendations and suggestions around process improvements
  • Confident in using Excel to utilise reports and data
  • Good customer service and relationship building skills
  • Confident in negotiation processes
  • Good numerical skills
  • Calculating quotes
  • Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Advanced user of MS office and in-house systems
