We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Clinical Engineering Technical Team at North Middlesex Hospital. We are looking forward to welcoming on board an individual who will work in accordance with our values to support the Clinical Engineering service to continue delivering a great service. You will be part of a team responsible for medical devices and all associated technology. The post holder will work with Trust staff and linked providers and be responsible for their area of maintenance in the Trust. As a Senior Engineer you will be expected to work on High Risk medical devices, have broad experience on a wide range of medical devices and have excellent attention to detail. You will also be responsible for medium and low risk devices and support the wider team in all aspects of medical devices management in the department. You will be expected to support and take part in governance projects such as incidents, CAS alert actions, Training support where required in line with clinical requirements whilst achieving high quality and positive outcomes for service users.

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

Essential criteria

Qualifications - relevant engineering/ electronics degree years of experience (5 to 10 years) demonstrated experience in medical devices management - technical experience knowledge of relevant guidance, regulations and demonstrated experience technical data, database, PPM reports (Knowledge of)

Desirable criteria

demonstrated technical experience - H, M and L risk hospital experience in CE services
