Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield

Salary Scale: £86 to £110 per day

Start Date: ASAP,

About the Role:

GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Sheffield. you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers, meeting the diverse needs of students, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment within the school. Seize this chance to influence the next generation's development within GSL's creative and collaborative teaching atmosphere, receiving valuable support along the way.

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during activities and group work.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help with understanding concepts, completing tasks, or staying focused.
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support teachers in managing classroom behavior by providing reinforcement, redirection, and encouragement to students.
  • Work with teachers to differentiate instruction and adapt learning activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Provide support and extension activities to challenge advanced learners and scaffold learning for students who require additional assistance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an educational setting.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioral challenges.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
