About the role:

We are looking for a Teacher of Science - Biology to join our Sixth Form. As a Teacher you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

Undertaking an agreed teaching commitment to develop students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding. Engaging, and motivating students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons. Providing timely assessments and feedback to help students improve their learning. Contributing to achieving retention and success targets for courses taught.

About you:

Degree in a relevant subject Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Current experience of teaching A-Level Textiles. Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 – 18 year olds Experience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learning Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

About The Bedford College Group

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
