Job Title: Water Network Process & Compliance Manager

Location: South Coast (Hybrid office or site based 3/2) Driving licence is essential

Work type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Circa to £75,000 per annum

We are excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Network Process & Compliance Manager

within our Wholesale Water directorate

In this brand new role, you will be joining us in building and growing a team of continuous improvement specialists, implementation leads and business SME’s to develop plans and track actions to achieve a consistently high standard of operational and general performance across the region. As part of the business turnaround plan on our key ODI's (Leakage, CMEX, Interruption to supply & water quality)Your key focus with your new team onboard, will be supporting the delivery of Water Network activity, improving performance by identifying areas for improving efficiency and in the long run to contribute to achieving high level of performance to meet customer expectation and continue our excellent service of freshwater supply within Southern Water regions.

This role will take ownership of our water distribution manual which is undergoing a transformation to align closer to our performance delivery outcomes. Leading our performance management framework within the water network team from field based performance and risk rubs through to head of department level meetings through the use of PowerBi to influence a step change in KPI's

Your responsibilities will also include:

Developing functional level operational plans (for example Safety; Finance; Engagement; DWI recommendations implementation) and lead on monthly team performance reporting process for both upward and downward cascade and drafting periodic performance commentary. Overseeing the mapping of all water network processes and procedures to support future improvement opportunities and the future work management system improvements.  Leading on co-ordinating regular management engagement sessions across the region focused on increasing engagement with the operational teams and communicating performance updates and communicating regional plans and areas of priority to operational colleagues.  Visualising and re-establishing performance information so trends and performance gaps can be identified immediately by colleagues across the Water Networks team to drive action planning.

To be successful in this role, it is essential for you to have experience working within the Water industry or the Utilities industry with proven track record of delivering a step change in performance, financial or operational regulatory background. Ideally Six Sigma certified (or with a similar change management background), you will be a confident leader within the business, demonstrating strong leadership skills in creating and leading business change and work collaboratively across whole of Southern Water to shift and achieve optimum performance within our Water Networks delivery team.
