Are you a dedicated and experienced teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Ofsted-graded Good Primary School in Cambridge as a Teacher of SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND.
  • Provide targeted support and interventions to enable students to achieve their full potential across the curriculum.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular reviews and meetings to monitor and adjust support provision.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and developments in SEND education, incorporating evidence-based approaches into teaching and support strategies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Specialisation or significant experience in teaching students with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Additional qualifications or training in SEND education.
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEND profiles, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and other resources to support students with SEND.
