Job summary

The Prince of Wales Surgery has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our Patient Services Team. The post is based in Poundbury, Dorchester with some cover in our sister practice in Portesham just off the coast road, convenient for staff based in the Weymouth, Dorchester or Bridport areas. The role could be a job share between two staff so hours and days can be negotiated but the ability to work Mondays and Fridays is essential. Up to 30 hours per week. Job Summary:

To provide excellent patient care by accurately processingincoming documentation and work flowing documents to the relevant clinicianswithin a timely manner whilst following clear procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Support GPs and other clinicians by reducing theirdocumentation workload and maintaining accurate, concise medical records:

Datestamp and scan all incoming paper documentation.

Codeand workflow all paper documents

Codeand workflow all Electronic Discharge Summary

Action all urgent documents

Prepare Medical reports.

Follow Prince of Wales Surgery document management protocol.

Update Team Leader of issues which may affect service.

Workwithin the team to action incoming work in date order

Monitor shared email inboxes.

Stationary ordering.

Occasional reception cover
