About the Role

The Business Manager is responsible for driving business development, effective communication, fostering teamwork, planning and organising strategic initiatives, managing customer relationships, achieving commercial objectives, and influencing and persuading stakeholders. This role involves working with in a team to help meet company goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality talent solutions and driving business growth within their specialist markets.

Key Responsibilities

Effective Communication
* Conduct motivational and relevant team meetings.
* Consistently express support and enthusiasm for company messages.
* Set and communicate clear individual goals and objectives.
* Lead relevant and informative training sessions for the team.

Team Working
* Coach and encourage team members, providing positive and constructive feedback.
* Earn trust and respect from all team members.
* Build and maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
* Develop a supportive coaching culture within the team.
* Openly support management decisions and initiatives.

Planning and Organisation
* Set objectives and agendas for meetings, maximizing time and input.
* Follow up on all tasks across the team, ensuring timely completion.
* Identify market changes and adjust team strategy and focus accordingly.
* Collaborate with consultants to set SMART commercial daily objectives.

Customer Relationship Management
* Drive the quality charter and promises for candidate care.
* Meet with clients at a senior level to support tenders for new business.
* Manage lapsed or damaged relationships with key clients.
* Develop relationships with strategically identified clients.

Drive for Results/Commercial Awareness
* Set and lay out clear expectations and working/billing standards for self.
* Recognise strong staff performances and exceptional effort both publicly and privately.
* Create a highly competitive environment.

Persuading and Influencing
* Understand the psychology and motivations behind decision-making.
* Lead from the front to support and drive team and business initiatives.
* Transform negative external client relationships into positive ones.
